Michael Grubb Joins the d’arc awards 2025 Judging Panel
We’re thrilled to announce that Michael Grubb, founder and managing director of Michael Grubb Studio, has been invited to join the judging panel for the 2025 d’arc awards.
The d’arc awards, a globally respected event in the lighting design industry, bring together the finest creative minds to celebrate innovation and excellence. This year marks a special milestone as the awards celebrate their 10th anniversary, bringing together an esteemed group of Best of the Best winners from past years to be on the judging panel this year.
Michael was selected for the judging panel as a winner of the highly coveted Best of the Best award, which Michael Grubb Studio earned in 2021 for our Bath Abbey Footprint Project. To be included among this elite panel is not only a great honour but also a recognition of the industry’s trust in the quality and innovation we strive to deliver.
Award-Winning Lighting Design for Heritage and Restoration Projects
Our inclusion in this celebration of a decade of excellence is made even more meaningful by our 2021 win with the Bath Abbey Footprint Project. This multi-million-pound restoration of a Grade I-listed heritage site showcased our ability to marry sustainability with the complexities of lighting historic architecture. By carefully integrating energy-efficient lighting systems that enhanced the Abbey’s unique details, the project demonstrated the critical role lighting plays in preserving history while adapting to modern needs.
