Illuminating Heritage: Bath Abbey Wins Two RIBA Awards
We are thrilled to announce that the Bath Abbey Footprint Project has won the prestigious RIBA South West and Wessex Award 2024, as well as the RIBA South West and Wessex Conservation Award 2024!
Our work, in collaboration with Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios and a dedicated team, aimed to enhance the Abbey’s interior while integrating innovative underfloor heating. This project not only respects the historical significance of the Abbey but also contributes to the sustainability goals.
The project is a £21 million initiative, aimed to preserve and enhance the Abbey while creating new spaces for education, music, and community engagement. Our lighting design played a crucial role in this transformation, significantly improving the energy efficiency and ambience of the Abbey.
We are proud to have contributed to a project that not only preserves a vital piece of heritage but also revitalises it for future generations. The RIBA Award is a testament to the collaborative efforts of all involved, and we look forward to continuing our work in creating sustainable and inspiring heritage lighting designs.
