The First-Ever Official Formula 1 Exhibition Launches in Madrid
March 2023 saw the opening of the world’s first Formula 1 Exhibition in Madrid. Hosted at the IFEMA Madrid, the exhibition will be open from March for the next few months until summer.
Formula 1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali joined the exhibition’s lead curator Timothy Harvey for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially launch the exhibition the night before its doors opened to the public on 24th March.
Five years in the making, this ground-breaking exhibition allows viewers to experience the past, present, and future of Formula 1 through an immersive audio-visual experience.
The exhibition was produced by Round Room Studios and Pathfinder Studio. Michael Grubb Studio was appointed to provide the creative lighting design for the six purpose-built rooms. The studio worked in collaboration with designer Alastair McCaw, Director at Real Studios, who liaised with curators, artists and filmmakers to support the narrative of the extraordinary story of F1.
