Michael Grubb Studio’s Triple Shortlist for [d]arc Awards 2025
Michael Grubb Studio is delighted to announce that three of our projects have been shortlisted for the esteemed [d]arc awards 2025, which celebrate excellence in lighting design.

The nominated projects and their respective categories are:
Marilyn Exhibition – Shortlisted for Best Interior Lighting Scheme (Low Budget). This category recognizes exceptional indoor lighting designs with a luminaire budget under £30,000.

Ingredients at Guinness Storehouse – Nominated for Best Interior Lighting Scheme (High Budget), honoring outstanding interior lighting projects exceeding a £30,000 luminaire budget.

Light and Peace at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque – Also shortlisted in the Best Interior Lighting Scheme (High Budget) category, highlighting exemplary high-budget interior lighting designs.

The [d]arc awards are unique in the lighting industry, employing a peer-to-peer voting system. An international jury of lighting designers selects the shortlist, after which independent lighting designers, architects, interior designers, and product designers cast their votes to determine the winners. This approach ensures that the awards truly reflect the collective judgment of the design community.
We are also excited to unveil our collaboration with Forma Lighting at the upcoming [d]arc night event. This annual gathering of the international lighting and design community will be held on April 24, 2025, at the Fireworks Factory, Woolwich Works in London. The event promises an evening of celebration, featuring exclusive themed light installations, complimentary bars, and a selection of London’s finest street food.
We look forward to attending [d]arc night and invite our peers and colleagues to join us in celebrating the best in lighting design. See you there!
