Seamus Heaney Exhibition, Ireland
Seamus Heaney: “Listen Now Again” is the first exhibition to be housed in the new Bank of Ireland Cultural and Heritage Centre within Bank of Ireland’s College Green complex.
A partnership between the National Library, the Department of Culture and Bank of Ireland, includes manuscripts, letters, unpublished works, diaries, photographs and personal items, including the desk where he wrote in the family home in Sandymount, a lamp that belonged to WB Yeats and a portrait by Louis le Brocquy.
The exhibition takes the visitor on a multi-sensory journey from Heaney’s origins through his remarkable poetic career.
Michael Grubb Studio worked with the design team to create a very tailored lighting approach. In order to balance the amount of paper documents and conservation light levels, we created a design which was still immersive and engaging. Additionally, our lighting approach harmonised with the AV install of the projections, video and sound to create a defining experience.
