Situated within a 464-acre project, this development targets a new generation of homebuyers, introducing an innovative and sustainable mixed-use concept to New Zayed. The design team was tasked with enhancing the landscape to create a vibrant community that thrives both by day and night, setting a new standard for livability and community in Cairo. Previously, the area was characterised by limited social interaction, lacking climate-responsive and context-sensitive design and spatial arrangements. Our mission was to help build an integrated community that encourages social interaction, exercise, and ultimately, improved health and wellbeing.

The development comprises a series of interconnected, richly diverse, and inviting spaces. Each area and pathway was designed with its own unique character for nighttime use, ensuring that movement and activity can continue after dark.

With a focus on outdoor spaces and programmes catering to a wide range of users, our lighting designs promote social integration within the new development. Play areas, community gardens, markets, and event spaces allow both young and old to access and enjoy the site after dark.
